Water Channel Dredging on Jalan Awaludin IV Completes

Eight blue taskforce personnel of Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency has completed the channel dredging on Jalan Awaludin IV, RW 17, Kebon Melati, Tanah Abang.

The area was often inundated

Head of Tanah Abang District Water Resource Unit, Eli Menawan Sari said her rank has completed the channel dredging besides local district office.

"The dredging was run based on our monitoring. The area was often inundated during heavy rain," she said, Monday (9/8).

She added that her side also completed the channel dredging on Jalan KH Mas Mansyur.

"The total length of the dre dged channel is approximately 150 meters with a width of 60 centimeters and the thickness of the dredged mud is approximately 30 centimeters," she explained.

Santo (45), resident of RW 17, Kebon Melati appreciated the inundation handling by dredging the channel.

"Now the area is free of inundation," he admitted.
